Head Coach

Coach Rachel Croley is in her third  season as head coach of Oak Ridge High School. In her first year the Lady War Eagles were 39-10 and reached the Regional Quarter Finals. In her second season the Varsity was 29-18 and reached the Area Finals.


Prior to joining the ORHS program, Coach Croley spent two seasons as first assistant at The Woodlands High School. During her time at The Woodlands they were Regional finalists in 2016 and State Semi-Finalists in 2017. Coach Croley was head of the junior high volleyball program at Clark Junior High in Princeton, TX for 2 seasons in 2014 and 2015.


Coach Croley is from Princeton, Texas. At Princeton High School, Coach Croley participated in many sports including volleyball, track and field, powerlifting, and soccer. Coach Croley was an all-state selection in volleyball, and holds her high school record for the high jump at 5'6.

After High School, Coach Croley attended Texas A&M University - Commerce in Commerce, Texas. Coach Croley was a four-year starter for the Lions as a middle blocker, and saw a year of action high jumping for the track team. Coach Croley majored in Psychology and is pursuing a masters degree in Education Administration.


While in her Lion uniform Coach Croley was a three time All-Lone Star Conference selection, Offensive Player of the year her senior year, two time All-Academic team, named The LSC Female Scholar athlete for A&M Commerce, back to back recipient of the Lib Huggins Female Athlete of the Year for A&M Commerce, and nominated for NCAA Woman of the Year. Coach Croley finished her career with 1,359 kills, currently ranked fourth in program history.


Coach Croley is married to her husband Colton, who is a football and basketball coach at Oak Ridge. They have a dog named Buster.


Varsity Assistant, Junior Varsity

Coach Shelton has a strong volleyball background. As a native of Hereford, Shelton was a two-time state champion in high school, at both Hereford and Canyon Randall. In 2009, Randall HS won state title and went 42-1 (winning 42 straight after dropping season opener).  As a junior at Hereford HS, team won state title, going 45-3. Shetlon was named to the Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) all-state team, first-team all-district and all-tournament at the state tourney both her junior and senior seasons. She was also selected to the Amarillo Globe News Super Team both years as well. 

Shelton went on to become a collegiate standout at San Diego State University where she received All Mountain West conference honors in 2011, 2012, and 2013. She finished her career as an Aztec with 1,076 kills. Shelton majored in Art and is an Art teacher at ORHS. 

Shelton coached for two years in San Diego, CA. before returning to Texas to coach at Perryton High School and Madisonville High School. 


Freshman A

Coach Ross is in her second year at Oak Ridge High School, her 9th year coaching overall. Growing up in The Woodlands, she was a four year Varsity Volleyball player at The Woodlands Christian Academy. While at TWCA she played as a right side hitter, and held all district honors both her Junior and Senior year! 

During high school, Ross was also a on the Varsity Cheer team, holding the position of captain as a senior. She went on to attend TCU where she majored in History and was a member of their cheer team, cheering Volleyball, Football and Basketball for the Horned Frogs! While in college she also participated in a number of intramural sports including volleyball and flag football. 

Ross began coaching during her time at TCU for Trinity Valley School in Fort Worth, and has coached a variety of sports since then including volleyball, cheerleading, soccer and track.

 Before coming to ORHS, Ross taught History and coached at Knox Junior High for five years, and spent a year teaching/coaching in Anoka-Hennepin ISD in Anoka, Minnesota! She is loving working and coaching at Oak Ridge, where she coaches volleyball and track, and serves as the World History team lead!


Freshman B

This year will be Coach Farmer’s fifth year at ORHS. Coach Farmer graduated from Angelo State in 2006 in Kinesiology. At Angelo State she was a member of the soccer team in the Lone Star conference. 

After college she coached at  Kilgore High for nine years. Coach Farmer moved to the Houston area to be closer to family and started coaching Soccer at Oak Ridge High School.

She has three awesome children Greyson who is 10, Kayden 8 and Hudson 7.
